Tura (Messinger) Synhorst was born and raised in Rapid City, South Dakota, where she spent much of her time around the family Coca-Cola Bottling business. After graduating with a finance degree from the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management, she joined Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) in Dallas. She held various positions at CCE within the accounting and finance departments. Tura returned to Rapid City in 2000 and joined Coca-Cola Bottling Company High Country as part of the third generation of the Messinger family in the Coca-Cola bottling business. She assumed the position of Vice President of Administration with the initial responsibility for payroll along with other human resources functions. Tura was later named Vice President of Corporate Affairs as her role evolved and expanded into government/public affairs and communications, community involvement and employee engagement.
Since 2000, Tura has served on Coca-Cola Bottling Company High Country’s Board of Directors. She is past chair and current member of the advisory board for the Prairie Family Business Association, board president for the Wyoming Beverage Association, and executive committee board member for the Minnesota Beverage Association. She has served in various committee roles for P.E.O., providing philanthropic educational opportunities for women and volunteered her time as part of the school system’s parent teacher organization, as a classroom mentor for Junior Achievement and a committee member for Black Hills Works, supporting adults with disabilities. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Curt, for 24 years and they have three children.
